Education Initiatives
Kindergarten Clinics
BrainTrust Canada is available to educate kindergarten children about injury prevention through interactive games and media. The Kindergarten Program allows the introduction of important safety messages to our impressionable youth.
High School Education
The High School Education and Prevention program provides students with the knowledge of how the brain works and what happens when it is injured. The program is a 2 part presentation targeted to grade 11/12 psychology students.
Continuing Education
For the past two decades, BrainTrust Canada has hosted an annual conference on Brain Injury, held in Naramata BC. In 2013 this conference will move to the campus of the University of British Columbia - Okanagan (see Okanagan Conference on Brain Injury listed under "Events"). The conference offers a wide variety of topics appealing to professionals, students, caregivers, family members and individuals with brain injury.
BrainTrust Canada staff are regular speakers at the Okanagan College in the Human Services Worker program. For more information please contact us.
